WE EXPRESS OUR SINCERE GRATITUDE TO
THE FOLLOWING COMPANIES FOR THEIR GENEROUS SUPPORT!

We cannot believe Downside Up’s Charity Red Square Bike Ride is now over!!! Our participants faced some real challenges this year: route changes at last minute, 170 people cycling at one time, forest competitions, speedy sections, company presentations and costume contests.

With 16 corporate teams and 9 amateur teams participating - the competitive spirit was quite intense at moments! However, the challenges were not too tough for team Deloitte! After 6 years of competing in the bike ride, Deloitte finally won the opportunity to take the cup home! CONGRATS to Deloitte for winning the 2008 Bike Ride!

Our voice of the 13 th Annual Bike Ride, Kirill Krasnov, was amazing and acted as the barometer for the event. He led the way for this year’s bike ride theme- Pioneer Camp. Participants were treated to opening and closing ceremonies, music, flag ceremonies, and morning excercises that we know you all loved. All done in true Pioneer Style!!!

Red Square was a spectacular event. For those who missed the awards ceremony, make sure you come next year! With over 500 spectators, in-kind sponsors to hand out prizes, children’s bike race, parents greeting participants as they approached the finish line - emotions were very high!

The Red Square ceremony is where many participants meet the DSU families for the first time. It is such a great sight to see…..children dancing, smiling, parents thanking companies for helping them. COME NEXT YEAR!!!

This year DSU added several new elements, including parents joining as team members for the corporate league. This enabled corporate teams to understand how these parents and families benefit from the money raised. This is an important lesson for all. Please see some of the comments about this year’s Bike Ride below:

I want to regards you and whole your team for this event!
I want to regards you for perfect time which I spent, for emotions which never leave my mind, for new friends, for chance to help somebody, who really needs in it.
In Deloitte people says “Doing right things and doing things right!”
This phrase belongs to your team for full 100%. You do right things, you help people to live, to believe in future.
And In spite of the huge of this event, you designed it and lead perfectly. I’m delighted with it.
So Jill, I want to wish your team, that next year you’ll have a more than 30 corporate teams and raise more than 500k $.
Next year we’ll take part on it absolutely!

On behalf of my team I would like to thank you and DSU for such a great event that we managed to participate.
I took part in many sport and entertained events but not many from them were organized so professional.
Riding, water stops, presentations, field competition, camp entertainment and ……. DSU spirit were great.
We hadn’t time to getting tired and being bored in that as soon as our emotions from one event increased
to it’s maximum level next event start.
You even managed to agree about good weather!
We glad to become acquainted with Andrey and his mother Zinaida who tried to participate in the race as a professional athlete up to the end.
Hope that this event could help children with Down syndrome!

Thank you very much for the event!
I am really happy to be one of the participants, and I’m proud my company is  making small donations to well-being of the children.
It’s a big challenge for me to be with you and your team, on the Red Square when the children were riding on their tiny bikes I hardly could to stop my tears.... It was SO exciting!!!!
Thank you for perfect organizing! I am really fascinating with your team and their great preparedness. As it’s my 2nd time I rode I can say that this year was really huge amount of us.
I am very glad that my company HSBC has given me a chance to meet with you and other perfect people from Downside Up. As for me personally I had changed my view to this problem after I participated ride
my 1st time. Now I see and believe that this big world is different, and there are a lot of place for all of us though  we are.
