Do you love football the way we do?
 On 17 th April Zenit won a 3-1 victory against Amkar, and Andzhi won 2-1 over Spartak Moscow in the Championship of Russia Premiere League, while in England the Arsenal- Liverpool game ended with a 1-1 tie.
On the same day in Moscow the 7th Charity In-Door Football Tournament was held to benefit children with Down syndrome. There are no losing teams in Charity Sports. Anyone who comes to play football, run, ski or race is a WINNER, as his/her participation is making an enormous impact on life of children with Down syndrome.
We won’t argue that participation is the only thing that matters, that at the tournament there never are any disputes over first places, disagreements with judges or emotional outbursts. And it is all fine, as we know that next time YOU will be with us again.
On the 17th April at Dynamo sports arena we had it all: winners, spectacular football with lots of goal mouth actions and a fantastic upshot with a series of penalties.
A hot contest went on for 5 hours. 16 teams played on 4 fields; the referees were professionals. There were 3 newcomer: NIKA watch factory team, STS TV channel team headed by TV celebrity Michael Shatz, and Ekada team.
Results tabulation: 1 st place – Derzhava Bank, 2 nd place – Lay’s team, 3 rd place – PEPSI. Awards were also given in the following nominations: best full-back, best goalkeeper, best forward, best coach, most valuable player, veteran of football, and for allegiance to football. Traditionally, awards were presented by Downside Up team members and our beneficiaries – children with Down syndrome, for whose sake we hold our annual sports events and invite for participation the kind-hearted people who enjoy working for a good cause.
Thanks to YOUR participation 1 445 804 rubles have been raised to benefit early intervention programmes for children with Down syndrome. And this means that we will continue providing FREE PROFESSIANAL SUPPORT for families of children with Down syndrome.
