On the last weekend of November another meeting of Downside Up team members and the parents’ core group was held in the Moscow region. On the one hand, it was a sequel of our spring training session. The autumn issue of Take a Step magazine has an article about the impressions of the first meeting. On the other hand, many new families have joined us this time, and we think it’s great!
We spent three busy days fulfilling creative assignments, learning how to make matreshka dolls, pantomiming, creating and presenting new projects. Together we prepared a children party, and, what’s very important, we came to know one another more and had a lot of fun together.
We had a fruitful discussion about the parents’ group achievements and ways to improve its coordination and to combine the parents’ efforts and initiatives. Another discussion topic was the improvement of parents’ communication and Downside Up-families feedback.
Many participants commented on how important the meeting was for developing a better understanding of the group’s goals and structure. With Christmas and New Year approaching, there are so many challenging events to handle together. Therefore, we say: TO BE CONTINUED!
