Targets:
• to raise funds for the early intervention programmes for children with Down syndrome;
• to demonstrate the potential of children with Down syndrome;
• to break wrong stereotypes regarding Down syndrome;
• to offer mutually beneficial partnership schemes for business community and Downside Up.
Participants: corporate teams, private individuals, Downside Up children, families and staff members.
Venue – Skiing stadium at Krasnogorsk
• Professional ski tracks;
• Heated change rooms for participants;
• Seats for fans
• The area with uphills and slopes.
In this years’ programme:
· Multirace (8 persons from a team) – a snowy obstacle course with tests for precision, quickness, and dexterity;
· Free style relays (4 X 500 m)
· Free style individual races for 2,5; 5 and 10 km;
· Children’s race for 500 and 100 meters (for children from 6 to 14);
· Cups for winners. Awards will be presented by celebrities and children with Down syndrome;
· Professional judges, good track;
Also:
· Entertainment programme for participants and fans;
· Hot tea, delish porridge, happy moods;
· A chance to meet with children with Down syndrome and their families.
The event will run from 11am till 2pm.
Project results 2004-2011:
- 4,280,500.000 rubles raised;
- 746 participants
- 70 partners companies
- Supports provided to hundreds of families raising children with Down syndrome.
Cheerleading squads are welcome!
This year we will have winter games for fans. The pass to the site of the event will be a Downside Up badge. Please donate 200 rubles to get a badge onsite.
